Kevin Denholm is a filmmaker, ordained chaplain, and founder of FilmChaplain. With more than 30 years’ experience across the New Zealand screen industry, he has directed commercials, long- and short-form content, and humanitarian documentaries in some of the world’s most challenging environments. During COVID-19, Kevin recognised the growing emotional and moral pressures faced by film crews and began offering informal on-set support, which evolved into FilmChaplain. He holds a Master’s degree in Chaplaincy, is ordained in the Anglican Diocese of Wellington, and is currently completing a PhD at the University of Otago focused on moral injury and care within the film industry. Today, FilmChaplain provides confidential, relational, and culturally grounded support for cast and crew working in high-pressure creative environments.
